DECS 6.x Virtual Document Activities Fail After Rebuilding Index on an NSF with Multiple Activities

Technote Number: 1161155

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus software Quality Engineering and has been
addressed in LEI 6.5.1.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.1 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

DECS
SPR# JFEA5T8L3U - Fixed a problem where Virtual document activities fail after
a rebuilding the view index (Sh+F9) on a database that includes multiple
activities.

Workaround:
In the SQL external table, certain required columns must be created beforehand
or "Use External Key Table" must be enabled in the Virtual Document Activity,
for this type of activity to function. Using the "Use External Key Table"
option allows for the "backend" creation of another table for the required
columns with no user intervention. However, when you use the "Use External Key
Table" option and have more than one Virtual Document Activity, the above error
will occur.

Another workaround is to manually create the required columns in your external
SQL table. The columns and types are:

EINOTEID - int
EIUNID - char(32)
EIMODIFIED - datetime
EINOTEPROPS - binary(1024).

Note these are for MSSQL; for other relational types, refer to the LEI User's
Guide. The column names will always be the same, but the type may vary.
